Computed Tomography
Fulcrum

The capabilities of Computed Tomography (CT) have dramatically increased over the past few years. The number of slices in imaging equipment has leaped from 4 to 8 to 16 and now to 32, 64 and beyond. And the number of imaging applications has expanded from diagnostic conditions to screening and preventive care. All of these factors combine to produce more images that need to be read every day. Additionally, increasingly more sophisticated imaging techniques introduce special challenges for review and visualization of images.

iCAD is working to ease the challenges facing CT imaging for the identification of colonic polyps by creating software solutions that automatically identify colon polyps. By focusing on superior identification capabilities, our works-in-progress for CT Colon solutions are being designed to assist in improving the accuracy, consistency and workflow during the reading process.
