SOFTWARE ENGINEER
THE POSITION
Under the guidance of a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for implementing applications and evaluation of methods to meet product requirements for FDA approved medical devices. You will be working from requirements definition, to feature design, implementation, integration, testing and maintenance. You will work closely with team members to optimize functionality / time-to-market tradeoffs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform software design and implementation.
- Collaborate with UI designer in the GUI design to understand business, product, marketing, and technical limitations and requirements
- Develop test documentation such as test protocols.
- Perform software testing, both in-house and at clinical sites if necessary.
- Perform technical document reviews.
- Assist Support personnel in investigation in the field.
- Defect fixing.
- Assist in developing other documentation such as User’s Manual.
- Occasion travelling to customer sites and trade shows.
- Follow iCAD’s Standard Operation Procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Computer Science or a similar discipline
- Minimum of 3 years application experience in C++ or C# using Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with Window Forms or WPF.
- Experience of WCF, SQL Server and IIS will be an asset.
- Knowledge of image processing will be an asset.
- The applicant must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and be able to communicate effectively with the customer and team members
