American Cancer Society
American Cancer Society is a nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy and service. The American Cancer Society site includes an excellent section on breast cancer.

Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade
The Avon Foundation is funding the fight against breast cancer through a unique multi-faceted initiative called the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade, which through 2004 has returned more than $350,000,000 to the breast cancer cause worldwide. Its site includes a guide to better breast health as well as online support groups and information about the cause.

National Breast Cancer Coalition
The National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) is the nation's largest breast cancer advocacy group, with more than 600 member organizations and 70,000 individual members and supporters. Committed to ending breast cancer, NBCC works to educate and train individuals to be effective activists and to influence the public policies that affect breast cancer research and treatment.

National Cancer Institute
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is the Federal Government's principal agency for cancer research and training. The NCI site contains cancer treatment, prevention, screening and testing detail as well as information on clinical trials, research and statistics. The site also provides a comprehensive glossary of cancer and medical terms.

Oncolink
University of Pennsylvania's Oncolink site is a comprehensive resource for cancer information. Its section on breast cancer is divided into the following items: screening, risk factors and prevention, treatment options, genetics, support, miscellaneous information and news items.

For more than 20 years, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has been a global leader in the fight against breast cancer through its support of innovative research and community-based outreach programs, including the Komen Race for the Cure®.
